Guest speaker to share expertise and lived experience
- 3 times Panellist and workshop leader for the annual Women in Media conference, Manchester.
- Connected Woman panel discussion: panelist to discuss economic empowerment in the workforce and in business in order to bolster economic inclusion, trade and investment.
- Speaker at the Houses of Parliament to acknowledge Black History Month. The presentation and speech showcased the Windrush generation to celebrate community proactive pioneers and their contribution to society
Leading with purpose for impactful causes
- Founding member of the Oxfordshire County Council Racial Equality and Culture Heritage (REACH) Network for equality, diversity and inclusion relations
- A member of the Advisory Board for Breast Cancer Screening research with Kheiron Medical to help shape research into the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in UK breast screening services using MIA. Providing a consulting and diverse voice about perceptions and understanding of AI with ways to communicate with the public.
Delivering training to upskill and empower others.
- Devising and leading The Prince’s Trust social media and radio course. During the 5-day course, 16-24-year-old participants were taught by Louise about radio presentation, production, scripting and editing.
- Louise was hired to plan, devise, and deliver sessions with the National Citizenship Service (NCS) in partnership with Future Foundations. The NSC programme aims to encourage people to launch and execute community action projects. Working with 60 people, Louise was able to give insightful and practical knowledge that would enable the participants to promote their projects successfully using radio, social media, and online articles.
- Louise developed a positive and successful relationship with the popular Roundhouse venue in London. Through tutor and mentoring work, young people created podcast content during a few short sessions or 10-week courses. The training included: digital Editing, news and interviewing, creating Vox Pops, presenting techniques, writing scripts, and studio producing.
- Louise has volunteered at Media Trust events, including Women’s Voices and Digital Summer School
